“Being a bachelor I had no intention of staying in a fancy tower, but preferred an old building that had much more charm,” says Civalgi. With a budget of up to Rs 2.5 lakh a month, Civalgi finally managed to find a flat with a big living-room and a kitchen.
He was provided with a detailed report including photographs of the interiors, the view from each window and even a walkthrough video of the apartment.
Thus, even before he actually visited his current rental abode, he already knew what to expect: a 2BHK of 2650 sq ft, fully furnished, overlooking a green patch – a view from his floor to ceiling window in his bedroom. He was aware of the fact that the entry into this complex is allowed only after the security gets a go ahead from the resident, and even then the visitor is escorted to the apartment by a uniformed security guard.
