Kharghar to see over 30 new residential projects



Kharghar located in Navi Mumbai, has grown into a popular residential housing option for buyers. Laxmi Gusain, a resident of Sector 35, Kharghar says, “In 2013, our family shifted to Mumbai and started look for a decent 2BHK apartment and our search took us to Kharghar. The price of property here was affordable as compared to the localities in South Mumbai which we were previously considering.”

What is available?

According to the MagicBricks data, more than 30 new projects are slated to come up in the area and most of them are 2BHK units. Many residential projects are scheduled for delivery/possession by 2016 and some by 2018. The locality offers 1, 2 and 3BHK apartments. The price of a 1BHK apartment in the locality is between Rs 30-50 lakh, sized 450-700 sq ft, followed by 2BHK units available within Rs 50-70 lakh and sized 1000-1200 sq ft.

Darmiyan Singh, a senior CISF official, residing at CISF Colony, Kharghar, says, “Presently, I live in the CISF Colony and am looking to invest in a residential property in the same locality. Kharghar has well-planned infrastructure such as schools, colleges and hospitals and is also witnessing a lot of township development. Looking at the rapid growth and development, investing here can result in healthy returns in future.”

Abhishek, a local broker active in the area says, “The natural beauty of Kharghar is one of the main reasons attracting buyers to invest in second homes here.”
At present, Kharghar is on the path of fast-paced development which has impacted its realty with constantly increasing prices. Therefore, investing now for affordability and an assurance of good returns in future, makes sense.
