Thane: The Thane Municipal Corporation (TMC) will develop a super speciality hospital and a three-tiered underground parking facility at two prime plots owned by the Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation (MSRTC) in Thane and Kalwa following an approval from the transport department, informed guardian minister Eknath Shinde on Thursday.
As per the plans, the MSRTC land at Kalwa, presently being used as a workshop for MSRTC buses, will be used for developing a super speciality hospital, while the one adjoining Thane railway station will be used for constructing an underground three-tiered parking plaza. The existing facilities will continue to operate at the plots, said municipal officials.
