Sudhakar acquired a ready-to-move, two bedroom, hall, kitchen flat for
an all-inclusive cost of around Rs 22 lakhs. Having fully paid back the
bank loan taken to fund this acquisition in 2010, she decided to invest
around Rs 80 lakhs in another two-and-half BHK apartment near the
Eastern Express Highway in Thane. According to the company spokesperson
of Kalpataru Ltd, “In the last two decades, Thane has been transformed
into a rapidly-developing location. The city, which was earlier
dominated by industrial units is now dotted by high-rises. Thane, that
was known for affordable housing due to a lack of infrastructure and
connectivity a decade ago, today, boasts of the best residential
townships, hospitals, schools and social infrastruc ture, thus making it
one of the fastest developing districts for premium and luxury
housing.“
